Jamie Oliver!

Took a little break from painting this afternoon to check out a talk by Jamie Oliver at Roy Thomson Hall. It was a fun, funny, informative + inspiring talk stemming from questions from the audience. A favourite part for me, was his belief that every school (elementary for sure) should have a garden, and that many different subjects can be taught in a garden, from math to art to history to geography etc. Love that idea!
A lot revolved around his Food Revolution + promotion of his new cookbook - we got a free copy! woo hoo! The new book is called Jamie's Food Revolution, Rediscover how to cook simple, delicious, affordable meals - including his Pass It On movement; learn to cook at least 1 recipie from each chapter of the book, then teach 2-4 other people the recipie and so on. I like how the book is set up with a wide variety of recipies + tons of pics! Can't wait to try one out!
But for now, its back to painting. Looking forward to announcing the winner tomorrow night for the OOAK tickets! Thanks for your great responses!
