more earth friendly art papers...

Wondering lately what greener options are out there for my art - painting, drawing, card making etc. 

Strathmore has some greener options which i have used including their Windpower(TM) sketch pad which is manufactured with 100% certified renewable energy + its material is 30% post-consumer fiber content.

Today I came across their new line of blank cards + envelopes! I had to get some to try out...

I chose a pack of the:

Sugar Cane Cards; which are 50% tree-friendly sugar cane + 50% post-consumer waste fiber, acid free + have a smooth ivory finish. 

& a pack of the Hemp Cards; which are 25% tree-friendly hemp + 75% post-consumer waste fiber, acid free + have an earthy, more natural finish.

The packaging is made from 100% recycled, 30% post-consumer waste fibers + printed with soy inks. 

My plans for these cards are still developing yet I am excited to offer a creative product that is a bit more green in 2010!
