decor concept - lost at sea

The following painting is now in a new home, a bedroom for 2 little boys. I thought I'd put together a little decor concept for ideas on how to decorate around it. Purely for inspiration - and not too much on a "pirate theme", this would make a stylish boys room with a focus on adventure!

Wall Colour - a neutral sandy tone would work well and be a long lasting colour to add strong red & black accents to.

Window Treatment - simple cotton canvas grommet drapery panels or flat woven shades.

Bedding Idea - Twill Bedding & Oxford Stripe Sheets - Pottery Barn Kids

A stripe with blue/navy tones is classic for boys.
Bedding could focus on brown, blue or even denim tones - preference would be
solid toned bedding with striped sheets.

There are so many accessories that would look great in this room as they get older ... including a bookshelf with old Hardy Boys & Choose Your Own Adventure stories!
