Green + Grey: nursery decor concept

Inspired by the green tricycle in my Play with Tricycle painting, here is another nursery decor concept I'd like to share. The tricycle is a classic childhood image, that one could use as inspiration for a nursery theme (or baby shower, or 1st birthday party, etc.)

I love how green & grey work in combination with crisp white. I think this scheme seems a bit more boy to me, but a great way to create a baby room that can easily transition into a toddler room and beyond.

Green + Grey

Crib Bedding: I love this pattern by Olli & Lime, mainly because I have it in my son's room but in the Billie orange pattern! I think the little hit of green in this contemporary, geometric pattern would compliment the green from the painting and reflect the wheel in its suggested circular patterns.

Chair: A little local love for Monte Designs Cubino chair. I've loved their kid-sized furniture since it was introduced to me a couple years ago. This little grey & green chair could be tucked beside a bookcase full of stories.

Toy: Ok, this is just a super cute handmade forest critter cottontail rabbit by Savage Seeds, an etsy favourite of mine. He would fit perfectly nestled into the corner of the crib.

Area Rug: Most of us have probably seen this Ikea Gislev rug everywhere but it is an affordable area rug perfect for a little ones space. I like the botanical sketch feeling of the design, it picks up the grey & white from the painting and its pattern adds a bit of an organic contrast.

In this imagined space, I would paint a feature wall a light army green shade, paint the rest of the walls white and include amongst primarily white furniture, at least one charcoal grey (painted or wood) furniture piece.

What do you think of this decor concept? Do you agree that it could easily transition from a baby to boy's room?
